what have you done to make more reliable i.e head gasket issues???

how long have you guys owned your 1.8's ???

on some cars the ecu needs to relearn, once battery is disconected it reverts to failsafe settings and can cause the car to run a bit odd until it settles itself!! dont know if this applies to the freelander though.

Dont other land rover/range rovers suffer hgf too !!! oh yes p38 4.6 mmm common too maybee if there were as many 4.6 v8's as 1.8 k series there would be similar comments! good luck with the v8
