Hi All
Apologies if this has already been answered....
Rebuilding a 4 bolt box for a 2.5NA.
I have a pack of Corteco seals but can’t figure out which seals go where on the low pressure (input) side.
I’m OK on the high pressure (blue seal) arrangement but need help on the input seals.
A diagram...

Thanks Steve
My workshop manual doesn’t seem to have that page.
I ended up getting the vernier out and taking some measurements.
The seal is 11.5mm thick.

Hi all
Despite using a ring compressor, I’m struggling to get piston rings into a newly bored 2.5 block.
There doesn’t seem to be any chamfer at the top of the bore....should I get the file out?
If so how big a chamfer can I get away with? 30 degrees sound about right?
Thanks!
Andy

The value I’m looking for (as I’ve just been advised) is ‘Valve stand-down’. If I check valve/piston clearance with plasticine what sort of value am I looking for?
Ta!

Hi everyone
For a 2.5 NA (12J) does anyone know what the minimum clearance is between valve face and cylinder head gasket face?
I have a a head which I suspect has been skimmed several times. The valve faces still sit below the gasket face of the head...but only just! Is there likely to be a...
