Very common and nothing to worry about. No one can pin point why it happens specifically, but the train of thought is it is something to do with the system trying to level itself out. I bet it does no more than 3/4 bursts !!.

Its probably oil in the injector loom !. £35.00 to fix.

Makes my TD5 run quieter and has reduced exhaust smoke.
A full tank, ( 80 lt ), on a D2 only needs 450ml put in.
I put some 2SO in diesel on the bench and it mixed fine.

I'd also say its not had mineral 2SO oil in it. Synthetic doesnt mix well in diesel.

My money is on the cable. I have seen many high/low cables seize and the cdl cable is the same design.
Get under and get some wd40 on it and work it side to side. Make sure you spray the clevis and pins each end as well.

The torx headed screws secure the light mounting and dont need to be undone. The light unit is screwed through this with 2no pozy headed screws. A third pozy screw is fixed through a bracket to the slam panel on the inner lower cirner of each light.
Its in the manual !!.

Whats the end result there James ?. Is the chassis u/s, or can they be straightened out ?. Certainly worth keeping in mind.

I asked this question to the galvanisers and they said they have done loads of LR chassis with no problem. I wonder how the likes of Richards get on.
I already have a mate who has fitted a stripped and galved chassis with no problem.
The stripping company did offer the cheaper option of...
