I had a similar problem, turned out to be a faulty height sensor, stealer had a problem finding a new one but you can change sides and use a different area of contact.

A new rubber button insert is only just over £1 from the dealer, batteries are standard size eg from supermarket!

Performance Batteries have 115AH & 130Ah at £85 and £100 respectively!

I fitted a chip from East Coast racing to my 2.5dse some years ago, much torquier and refined drive, less gear changing and quieter! Consumption better 28 to 32mpg but I am rural. Go for it!

I have new pump, new valve block and no detectable leaks. Suspension lifts OK but on standing drops on front O/S. Dealer reports no adverse faults on diagnostic check. Only item left is control block under valve block - anyone with experience of problem here?

If the car has done a fair milage and starting has been getting more difficult I would put my money on the heater plugs. They fail one by one until starting is really difficult!

You have checked the battery/earth connection as these often go high resistance through corrosion!

The air suspension only operates when your foot is not on the brake pedal (and doors are closed), so you stop at lights, then take your foot off so the car resets its height! Yes this is all part of the experience! 4father

Pirelli ST's are not the most expensive and are good on road and mild off, STR's are OK on road but I prefer the ST pattern for a bit of mud!

I have a similar problem, the dealer's diagnostic check says it is a worn injector pump component. He suggests rebuilt pump at £1200. I am off to a Bosch specialist to get comment!

Occasionally on a gear change depressing the pedal gives no power until pressed again. Is this the throttle potentiometer and how easy is that to change?

My manual DSE gave 27-28 until I added chip. Now does 35ish but much nicer to drive too. No heavy traffic mainly rural driving. Moderate caravan drops it to arround 22-24.

I too have Vista with an adapter from TAWpark4x4 but it will not allow the program to work even with downloaded software as recommended. Using another laptop with XP works fine even using a virtual COM port with the adapter!

I am trying the Storey Wilson cable tosee EAS faults and expect to see codes displayed. Is there a key to interpret? My system decides to sit on the bump stops in a sulk from time to time - most annoying!
