I tried cutting it out under dash. i succeeded in taking out the old one breaking parts of the cage in the process. but square peg in round hole when it came to fitting new one. plenty of hand cuts but no joy. so i have decided to try...

Does anyone out there know how to access the front blower motor on the BMW engine L332? Is it by taking out the glove box and getting to it from the side?
