thanks for reply, yes the lever is engaging in normal high/low position, prop shaft turns in normal high/low but axle does not turn. took it too a mechanic the other day he does not know what the problem is either.

Thanks for that, just one diff - slipped finger! How do I check what is ok and what may be broken, any tips anyone?

I have a 1984 90 n.a diesel. I changed the prop shaft as the u j was badly worn however now it will not drive unless the diffs are locked in either high or low ratio. When in normal mode i let the clutch and there is just no drive and a grinding noise coming from the front diffs. When in nomral...
