More classic problems - brakes this time

So car is back having the steering sorted. Now I've never had any issues with the brakes but now suddenly the ABS and TC light are reluctant to go off, sometimes they do as usual but mostly they don't. Jumped in today to find no brakes - well no servo assistance. Pedal feels fine but the...

    wobbly front wheels

    Rear wheel arch repair

Gents, Whats a reasonable price to replace both rear wheel arches and paint? It seems YRM have deleted these parts from their website - anyone know anything about that?

    oil cooler pipe part nos

Has anyone been through this? Its a bit of a maze. I need the top pipe to the oil/transmission cooler (well it goes into the back of the RHS of the rad as you look from the front of the car at the grill). I can't find a sensible breakdown of the parts. 94 4.2 lse so petrol

    wobbly front wheels

On reflection it does have 255 on which are too big but only cause issues when on full lock. I've got a set of winters which are 235 so I could try those. Can the tyres really make that much difference?

    wobbly front wheels

Well I assume so - I suppose there is no harm double checking

    wobbly front wheels

Ever since I've had my car its had the dreaded death wobble on and off. It started on my drive home from collecting it. I had lots of things checked, Panhard rods, geometry, steering damper but it came down to the swivel preloads. This was 2 years or so ago at least. It ran fine for a good...

Might it just be that you need a testbook to clear the error?

    "Best" way to spend £10k

I'll drag this up again as this just popped up. Land Rover Range Rover LSE 4dr Auto 4.2 Fully stamped service history, 1994 for and against?

    "Best" way to spend £10k

Just had a quick nose around a 322 in a local car lot - its huge! Makes my LSE look positively thin. But on the inside its smaller, not a bad place to be but smaller all the same. Not entirely sure its what I want. Back to the drawing board.

    "Best" way to spend £10k

Looks like the L322 wins. What's the score with the pre 06 petrol gearbox - I thought it was only the diesels that destroyed them? Also I've seen a winter kit mentioned but vogues had front and rear heated seats and a heated steering wheel so what else is there to heat? Even more odd I've seen a...

    "Best" way to spend £10k

I'm shocked at the lack of love for classics and the liking for P38s. I thought everyone thought they were a disaster waiting to happen. I'd like an L322 but they seem to be falling in price daily and I just wonder if a decent, rebuilt at that price, classic wouldn't be better. I must admit...

    "Best" way to spend £10k

Lets say, hypothetically you had £10k to spend on a rr. General use, probably not garaged, at least to begin with, max 5k a year but to include getting about in very inclement weather (so not a garage queen when it snows or is very wet) Now "best" covers a multitude of stuff - least...

    Classic boot liners

I've on the look out for a rigid plastic boot liner for my 94 lse classic for ages. I assumed they were all the same size so bought one only to find it doesn't fit - too wide. So does anyone know which is the correct one? This is what I have and doesn't fit: Range Rover Classic Rigid Bootliner...

    RRC door won't unlock

Can you operate the lock with the key? If so and its just the fob that won't work then its probably the central locking actuator. Once the door card is off - mind the 'orrible sticky sealant - the you can get to it easily enough. Try manually operating the arm and see if it operates the cl...

    Getting a bit warm

Thor - the main engine ones or the AC? Just had a quick poke as its stood for 24 hrs. Viscous fan is freer but frankly there isn't a massive difference. Switch AC on and it engages and cools but both fans do start but then gradually stop again over 30 secs or so. Seems a bit odd? I had hoped to...

    Getting a bit warm

94 lse Coming home tonight, ac on full and for the first time ever I noticed the temp gauge creeping up. Its never gone beyond the central mark before. Switched ac off, windows open heater on full and by the time I was home (10mins of driving) back to normal. Ran the engine on the drive for 5...
