Didnt find the bolts too hard to get at in the end.Got the box free and sat on xmember cant see what the problem is so going to put whole new clutch and fork in and hope this cures it.

Well started alone today.Propshafts off (why you need a special tool 9/16 ring and open does fine).gear box brackets all loose just started on bell housing now cracked the 4 that are easy to get at.Bit of r and r now as i got to go to work till 4.30 am but will get back on it tomoz at 10.

Well slave cyl def works ok . No resistance on pedal when the slave is out of the housing but plenty when its all put back together.

When i got it all back together and bled up to find out it still didnt work i slackened the slave off a fraction and tried that and the cyl moved up against the bolts so i assumed it was working.By the way reading some other posts on the subject the push rod does stick out about an inch and a...

Yeah that sounds like the problem just puzzeled as unit obtained is for a 200 and as i said matched via the vin unless my 200 has a 300 box in it unknown to me.

Well got a replacement slave cyl going from the vin etc. And guess what the unit fits but the pipe fitting doesnt .Great

Yeah ive seen the way the cam ring fits the splined shaft but i havnt touched it so i dont understand how it can be the wrong way round all of a sudden.

Ok Cheers will check the linkage as there seems very little movement to go from neutral to hi so as you say it might not be fully engaging.

Hi. Is there some form of ident or spring on the ratio lever mechanism that could of come loose that allows this to happen.It just slips into neutral on the transfer box esp when things are warm.

Well finally sorted it.It was as i thought the transfer box was stuck in neutral.Turned out to be a loose selector on the shaft going across the top of the box.nipped the grub screw up and its sorted just need to work out now why h and low back to front ?
