A picture of the defender we are collecting next Friday :)

Very nice, does the present owner know your collecting it next Wednesday?

Gave mine an oil and filter change this morning. I have been running on 10/40oil, thought I would try 15/40 as that's whats recommended in the Land Rover book.

fitted new under-carpet matting, vacuumed the car, derusted and painted the seat frames, ready for refitting during the week.

fitted a full set of clear led lights ,,well cool :) no more bulbs to change and even changed the number plate light to an led one ,, got them of ebay ''bolt on bits '' well worth it ..

done wiring ready for rear heater, cleaned out gearbox and xfer breathers ready for extending, fixed air leak, swapped middle seat for box

Fabricated and fitted a new exhaust system to the 90, part 300tdi, part 200tdi, part used Disco and some new pipe that I had in the garage:cool:

It is now straight through to the back with a small Disco rear box at the end and it is quiet with a lovely turbo whistle. very pleased:D

Replaced my rear bearing. Got some more copper grease and cv grease. Going to grease my ujs up and replace rear diff seal and hand break expended and shoes :) couple more jobs ticked off :)

Steering relay, what a #### of a job! Hours of ****ing around and swearing...well worth it though not having to constantly correct the steering and managed to park up on our street without dislocating a shoulder!

Took the rear bench seats out of my CSW. The rear just gets filled up with hay, dogs, you name it and seats were getting trashed.

I removed the 24 spline front axle off my defender and fitted a 10 spline one off a lower mile discovery for the time being. The 24 spline needs kingpins, bearings, seals and the diff is rumbling baaad. Rebuild time.

What a swine of a job to do without a helper.

It's a 2006 with 82k on it. We've had a good look over (and under) it and can't see anything wrong but we are no land rover experts!

Take my hat off to you mate, hard work. you can nip over and finish mine next weekend;):D

Took it to see the friendly local welder.
Much head shaking, muttering about plates and questions like "Who does that to a car ?"

Good news: she's getting fixed for Christmas :)
