Bought her AA breakdown cover. In the vain hope I won't use it this year. 🤣🤣 The RAC called me a couple of days ago to ask me if I would be renewing this year. I wonder if he was surprised at the " hell no!" response 🤣 I decided to see which was cheaper, AA 33% discount for new member, or AA 40% discount for MoD. Seems 33% discount gets you a cheaper price than a 40% discount. I wonder if Rachel worked that out for them 🤦‍♀️🤣🤣

Also unplugged & tested blend & distrib motors using 9V battery & multimeter on the pots via the 16-pin connector. All seem to be working ok with smooth resistance change through the adjustment. But, when plugged back into the HEVAC, I get intermittent faults & damn book symbol.

So getting new connector ready with soldered contacts, and will splice into the wiring.

More an observation really...

Like Datatek I tend to keep my EAS locked. Unlike D I have it locked at Standard height as I tow a lot and have Arnott 3 springs. It appears the only setting which doesn't get overridden at sone speed is Highway / Motorway height. All other reduced the height once a certain limit is reached. For Wading / Extended it is the same speed as normal but for Standard it is, er, above the legal limit in the UK ... allegedly!

I have to keep mine at motorway height for towing or the little trailer runs on 2 of it's 4 wheels. Likewise at standard height, the caravan is nose up, not good for stability.

Well the car has been up on the ramp at the garage. Reckons the steering rack and track rods are fine!
The only movement they can find on the front is drivers control arm bush.. which is the only one I've not replaced so that's no surprise.
So why does the left front clunk over bumps and the right front didn't? Weird!

In other news, one of the rear bushes is knackered and the garage won't touch that.. need special tools apparently
