I was thinking of the thing you call a car.

I are on the road of togetherness.
The other swivel got demolished so the spare i got to replace the moog on the other side is trying to go on. Unfortunately the bolt holes don't line up, but i have a file. Job for tomorrow

Is that all you got out ! You ain't trying very hard I usually finish up with twice that amount out lol. When you resemble try the CV joint in several different places in the hub , I found when changing both fronts last year that they went in further to the hub in one place than another in fact one of them was nearly through enough to start the thread so hold the shaft give hub a whack with lump hammer and nut started enough to pull the shaft in, good luck 🤞

I'm just hoping I've not knackered the strut. I think i need to take the electrical bit off the top and see what i can see. Fingers crossed I've not killed it
Don't know about the vd struts, but on the standard ones the strut only turned so far hence being handed. With the strut bolt a 2ft breaker bar and as much weight as you can put on it is close (so ft tight!)

Filing holes does not sound like a good idea to me, are you sure the swivels are not handed?

I did try turning 180° but just the same.
The body is quite coarse, i don't think taking a mm or so off one edge will make much difference.. the bolt head is very large so will cover sufficiently

Wrong I know, but I used compressed air to find leaks in mine many years back. Replaced condenser & dryer after which it was great for 3-4 years. Then got the slow leak problem. Eventually traced to the spindle seal on the compressor, which I only found while replacing the mag clutch. UV dye definitely makes it easier.

I think @MrGorsky might have a leak on his spindle.

Having serviced it, I have just given my LHD P38 it's bi-annual clean ready for the MOT, bullshyte baffles brains don't you know. I keep the interior and the glass clean but a good coating of grime protects the paint IMO, no road salt here to worry about.
