Yes, both fanny! Was definitely expecting the former though, after my schoolboy error!

It's made safe tonight, body is on stands and so is axle, so nothing's going anywhere, even if airbags leak overnight. Planning to tackle it tomorrow - so if anyone who knows what they're doing (unlike me) is around to give me a hand, it'd be much appreciated and rewarded with cold beer!

Will take pics tomorrow to aid the ****-taking... so you can see just how 'bent' my airbags have become... And the sight of the left front wheel sticking several inches out from the arch has to be worth a ribbing, too...

You can see just how far it's moved in that last one.

If I get home from work at a reasonable time tomorrow I'll see if I can pop over but I can't make any promises as my shifts can overrun by anything up to 12 hours at a time.

Only if you're in the area, Ratty - dont go out of your way to dig me out of my stupidity, mate!

130 mile ish round trip for me, but if your really ****ed then tomorrow afternoon I may be able to do

Just hoping my front airbags have survived, cos they seem to be in good nick - heard some hissing from them when I was messing about with the EAS heights, quickly followed by 'EAS FAULT' on the dash. It didn't drop itself to the bump stops, though... In fact, it kept trying to raise the front n/s corner. Axle had shifted so much to the left that the front n/s height sensor had popped itself back out of the radius arm (I only popped the threads back in, didn't do the nuts up, just so the EAS wouldn't go spastic with the height sensors hanging free) - so I'm putting it down to that for now and hoping it didn't end up going into hard-fault before I managed to switch it all off... And that the hissing from the airbag was just the bag trying to pop it's own rim seal because of the rather jaunty angle they now find themselves at! Hissing stopped when I switched off and stopped trying to raise the height and they retained what inflation they had left, so...fingers crossed!

Don't switch it on again, it will only try to inflate the bags if you do. Just pull the pipes as i said. You will then be able to move axle.

You may need to replace the shock absorbers now if they they've been bent by the axle/body moving....

once axles free to move judical moving with jack etc will be enough ,worth getting as free as possible drag link etcas you still have bushes to do ?axle will need to be lifte toward chassis and down away from it to enable refitting of springs shocker ,panhard rod

if your still in a bind this evening let me know and i will trot over with a couple of trolley jacks and a selection of weapons, i'm only 15 miles down the road.

Hi Clarkey ouch!! can't help i'm afraid but having met you at the meet on saturday sorry to see your problem hope everything turns out ok all the best!!

pressure off airbag, by dropping eas end pipe out, supporting the axle so it does not rotate more.
at least osf wheel off and tyre lever under nsf tyre would be my guess without actually being there.

I'm just having some lunch and have stuff I should be doing this afternoon, but I do have access to a porta pack and could make a visit this afternoon, even though it's not exactly local

Gents, thanks for the help and advice, especially those who have offered to come to my rescue! I'm going to have a crack at getting it lined up later today. I have 1 3-ton trolley jack, 2 heavy duty ratchet straps and a couple of smaller straps. n/s radius arm is still attached.

I take it I need to strap the axle up to take it's weight... Where's the best place to strap it to?
