Well im trying to access it from below, as cant get to it any other way, cant get to the rim as no access very easily atall and no screw driver/chisel will lever it atall.. :/ hmmmm

What stopping access axle ,steering gard etc???

I know the difference between the top and the rim cock bod. You got it wrong, I have in the past and owned up, you just can't do that can you. I never clutch at straws mate, that's a game for children, enjoy.

So is this thing out yet? I guess you blasted the rim of the filter with penetrating oil - just in case? From the sounds of it, the thing must be in a pretty awkward shape by now.
 
Well that discussion, which could have been an intersting collection of experiences and alternative techniques for dealing with stuck fast oil filters got side tracked a bit.
