You will have to sync the key but it's a simple process covered in the owners handbook. Don't let the dealer tell you otherwise.
Sorry MOZZ, I think you are wrong on the keys, the order form the dealers have has key 4 as default, but that can be overridden, it has been covered before.*sorry but wrong on both counts there keith !!!!!!
since last year main huff producer in Germany where keys are put together recommend key 4 and all new keys from them are plug n play !!!!!!! I know cos I ordered one and a good friend of mine up in Scotland " George " had one delivered ,,,,,, no re- sync and key 4 ..... apparently huff changed the system completely 18 months ago and I have that straight from the main dealer cheers mozz![]()

Mid 96No MY 1996. It appears on the MY 1996 wiring diagrams anyway. A little later that 1995 yes i'll give you that. A car first registered in 1996 does not need to have been made in 1996 to that MY specs. The BECM will tell you date of manufacture.
