Am looking for a Series 3 SWB pick up , Have been checking out , LZ , Ebay , LRO , Autotrader & Car & Classic , So far not quite found what I'm looking for . Not looking for a project or a minter , something around the the £2 - 3k price range . Are there any other websites or publications I should be checking out ? .
Am also giving some thought to getting a regular hardtop & converting , but it does seem a pickup cab is more valuable than the regular .
Shall keep on looking

Try classic land rover magazine, it has private ads and is also a good read. Truck cabs are pretty desirable at the minute but if you keep an eye out you'll get one for the right price - remember it's coming up to winter so 4x4 prices rocket. As does the price of hard tops due to soft top owners sticking a roof on for the winter :)

over priced for what they are, in observation there is no bloody difference apart from the cab, you be cheaper buying a series what ever you want and buying a truck cab I have a contact you could try he has a truck cab top for sale 90£

As above really, the Land Rover was sold as "the most versatile vehicle in the world" just buy a good one and change the roof. I thought full tilts commanded a slight premium but not truck cabs?

Truck cabs are getting very rare, the cab It's self is worth 175_ 285 now.. anything wearing a green oval badge is quite rigid even the gaylander

Most of us who wanted truck cabs but ended up with vans or station wagons (you buy LR's on condition) offer the unwanted bodywork as a swap for the truck cab, it usually works out. ;)

Cheers for the feedback , am moving in that direction - best condition available , and if it's a wagon then changing to truck cab . it makes sense really. Thanks Steve

It's not hard and if you do get stuck we are here for you, I looked at a site today I use it Alot for reenactment gear, they have a couple didn't check if defenders or series but you get good deals on there.

Have a look its worth a look. I have a rare genuine series truck cab somewhere if you wanted it you could get it for a good deal but you would have to post it?
