Anybody fitted bog standard 18's from a L322 to the Disco 2 without this "wheelnut and spigot kit" that costs more than the damn wheels and tyres?

Seems a bit of a con, especially as i cant afford it.

Have searched but havent found sod all relating to fitting them without the spigot kit except the odd "You'll crash and die" post.

thought the d2-l322 and p38 wheels fitted straight on. I know you need adapters to fit d2 wheels onto a d1.

Im pretty sure the wheel nuts on a d2/ p38 are wrong, so won't hold the wheel on properly/ safely, the spigots sit on the hub centres to support the vehicle on the wheels, I would not use them without the kit, regardless of price

no matter about cost, you living or killing any one else, you wont fit them on you car without the wheel nuts, let alone drive it any where, so I wouldn't worry about dieing.

the wheels nuts on both wheels sit though the nut so far, You'll know what i mean if you've taken one nut off well the hole in a l322 or sport wheel are smaller so your nuts wont even reach the threads.

so what your saying is that you will need smaller wheel nuts. wish a d1 was that easy pcd is completely different to the td5 d2
