hi . my p38 is slipping when under load in 1st n 2nd bin told it could be transfer box ?? somethin about chain slippin ?? help pls

Welcome. Try re-posting in the RR section, you'll get more (sensible) response. It isn't going to be your transfer box unless you have one of the early Sturmey Archer chain drive ones.

It's going to be your clutch or, er, your clutch.

Not my fault. Presumed manwell cuz of the changing gear bit, did suggest a certain manwell inturvenshun dint it?

Soooooooo, is it one o' them Bong Warner Brothers jobbies then?

If the chain's jumping sprocket teeth it's going to sound a lot worse than just 'slipping' in 1st & 2nd.

aye but its a RR and thems too posh to do things like depress a clutch pedal, they'd have to get the butler in to it fer them
