Thanks... Its a 2004 TD4 SE.. Only getting about 29mpg though, getting nowhere near the 36mpg the book suggests. thinking its in need of a good service to try and get some decent MPG back.

Get a service done & make sure they change the crankcase breather assembly & also the fuel filter. Only use fully synthetic oil on this engine. Get your egr cleaned out & preferably get a bypass fitted at some point. Finally use Millers diesel additive (used to be called powersport 4 but has been recently superceded) at double the stated dosage every time you fill up & you should see an improvement.

Contact Roverron at Tuning Diesels, he's the top man in this field & worked with the guy who developed this. If he can't supply it, he'll put you on to the man who can. It used to be ok to buy off ebay but there have been some really iffy looking copycat units being sold there recently & some really dumb sellers offering seriously poor advice - the (admittedly smart looking) stainless steel one being a prime example.
