When did you leave the monastery. Was it the story about the goat and maiden of the local village. Seriously though how are you getting on with the electric car model.
I left the LR monastery last summer. No nothing maiden and goat related.

The electric car is great. Was definitely worth the move to a difference fuel type.

With credit to the OP for keeping at the Freelander. You can buy ramps for the boot to keep the wheelchair open and collapse the rear seats. As for your own health in transfering a disabled passenger, trying a swivel pad may help. also wear support brace belt for your passenger to grasp or on the passenger for you to grasp. A whalebone back support belt for lifting from a dead lift helps a lot. The simple things can put your own back out even getting in an out the Freelander. Another practical item is a platform for the wheelchair to chair seat height.
Freelander was my first choice after my old 110 but as my mother conditions and abilities got worse it was a struggle with having limited funds.
There is lots that can be done to make transportation of less able passengers easier.

Thanks Saxavordian,
Another Masterpiece to brighten our day and thanks Nodge but what do you mean about making transportation for less able easier?
We"re going to look at a 2007 FREELANDER 2.2TD4 HSE with only 118k tomorrow. It has a long MOT plus history and if it"s okay will probably buy it. Will keep my old F1 for a while until I"m sure the F2 is sound. I would have preferred tp pay a bit more for a younger car.

Check for rust on the rear subframe, and rear door openings near the wheel arch.
Also it should be 2 years away from it's second timing belt change. 118k miles is nothing for these, providing all the maintenance is up to date.

Hi Saxavordian,
I "m still looking for my next Car be it a 4x4 or other but nothing advertised seems to be rocking my boat so I"ll just keep on looking. By the way as an Amateur artist I love your LZ.
