Had problems with clutch on my td5 after changing gearbox and new clutch had terrible peddle master cylinder gave up. changed and now have good peddle but noticed when underneath i could turn the transfer box over when in gear, props not fitted is this normal

If the transfer box is in neutral, you can turn both shaft flanges together, if it is in hi or lo range then you will be able to turn one flange in one direction and the other will go the other way as the centre diff will intervene.

Thanks Peter if transfer box is in hi and gearbox in first does the engine being off stop the rotation of the shaft flanges Steve

If both props are off, you can always rotate the output flanges as the centre diff allows it, one will turn one way, the other must go in the opposite direction. If you hold one flange stopped, then no rotation of the other flange is possible if you are in gear.
