The "New comp" came, its not running at all, the other one was running, just to make sure, what can I check first before I blame the comp?

It means, I’m no expert and have unorthodox ways of fixing things lol :D

Oh it’s a good one now, after it’s been ruined? :D

Easier to repair once it’s out and the oil lingering in bay is due to it all hiding in there

I’ve never had it so I wouldn’t know.

I have 19yrs LR history with vehicle, great majority of the bills are ££££ EAS. It was completely shot when I got it.
I didn’t know how simple it was or could be repaired only that I couldn’t be sure of something I’m not familiar. Was offered old coils/struts and 32” tyres v.cheap so they had to be ruled out as an issue. The vehicle was to work in wet muddy conditions mostly. Every other 4x4 ,including 2 90s, have never had issues with coils during these conditions. Leaf springs on hilux were issue.

Il get EAS back on it one day (lifted EAS as it’s height/tyres are it’s defining feature for mine). Priority is getting it to long term viability for now as it’s already 24yrs old and I’m not a mechanic or terribly rich man. That’s why I have a p38 :D

I too have a P38 because I can't afford a decent 4 X 4:(
