Had to remove the front subframe (2002, TD4) this week to replace the ARB bushes due to the bush mount bolts having rusted solid and having to be drilled out.

The removal of the subframe went well with no problems.

For those purists wishing to replace the subframe bolts, here are the sizes. I would recommend getting either 10.9 or 12.9 grade replacements:

Front Wishbone mount bolt (1off per wishbone)-M14-1.5mm pitch X 100mm long (Torque to 140 ft.lbs)

Rear Wishbone mount bolts to chassis (2 off per wishbone)-M12-1.25mm pitch X 120mm long (Torque to 77 ft.lbs)

Subframe to IRD stabiliser mount-M12-1.75mm pitch X80mm long (Torque to 74 ft.lbs)

Subframe to chassis (2 off Front) M14-1.5mm pitch X 130mm long (torque to 140 ft.lbs)

ARB bush saddle clamp (4 off total)-M8-1.25 pitch X 25mm long.

The original ARB mount bolts are the crap LR one's with a flanged forged head with a smaller hexagon (10mm A/F instead of the normal 13mm A/F) ant not only had the head corroded badly rendering normal sockets or spanners useless, they did not budge despite application of Plus Gas and a hammer and chisel. I finally drilled them out and cleaned the holes out with a M8 tap afterwards. Remember that the split in the rubber bush points towards the front of the car
All the bolts were coated with copper grease upon reassembly.

I did the job from start to finish single handed. The car was supported on axle stands and a trolley jack was used to lower and raise the subframe during removal/refit. It's not too heavy even with the ARB attached and easily handled. I did have access to a pillar drill and support for the subframe whilst drilling the rusted bolts out.
Hope this information helps someone who is planning on doing this job and wishes to get new bolts beforehand.
