Hello Folks !

Just wondered if you could put my mind at rest, i've got a 27000 mile TD4 and the clutch is biting nearer the floor and i wondered if this is a possible problem about to rear it's ugly head or if it's quite normal ?.
The clutch doesn't slip, judder or have issues getting into gear.
If it is a potential issue should i get it into the dealers as it's got a Land rover used car warrenty on it and would this kind of problem be covered ? as it's classed as a 'wearable' item !!!.

Thanks for reading and help !:)

It's quite common on Td4s. The hydraulics can be bled as a temporary cure but it usually returns in time. A better fix is to renew the master cylinder.
Enquire if the clutch hydraulics are covered under your warranty as these parts shouldn't be a wearable item. They may argue that the clutch is still operating normally unless you claim the reduced clearance sometimes makes gears difficult to engage when stationary. Tell them that sometimes you have to bury the pedal into the carpet to get it into gear.

this happend when i replaced my clutch and flywheel.been running fine for over a year just had to get used to the low bite
