discovery boot wont open

have just bought discovery 300 and v pleased with it however the boot wont open remote pushes door lock up but boot wont open have tried using key and tried opening from inside but no success boot opened ok when i went to look at car before buying any ideas on how to solve this problem much appreciated

Hi
You have to take Land rover badge of rear door handle,then blast a load of WD 40 in there wiggling door handle-should open it!

You can get replacement door springs off fleebay to cure this problem.

Mine had the same problem but like you I tried this forum for help and taking of the badge and spraying with WD 40 worked a treat, just spray and move the hinged metal plate behind the badge backwards and forwards, mine was stuck in the open position even though the door was locked.
 
thanks everyone for your help have done as suggested with the lock and wd40 and boot now opens (dogs well pleased they can get in and out again!) thanks!
