Hi,

I am looking to replace the front and middle row seats in my 94 110 CSW.

From a finance perspective I am looking at picking a second hand set up from ebay. So I am after some feedback on what seats might be suitable.

I have seen Range Rover seats used but not sure about the second row, Vauxhall SRIs and I have seen mention of Metro seats but not seen pics.

Has anyone used or seen anything else?

I am prepared to fettle them a little but would not want major surgery. With the second row it would be good if I could bolt some to the Landy seat frame - and fronts to the runners.

Cheers

Chris

Who wuz it t'other day who posted them pics of RR 2nd row seats fitted in the frunt of a Deepender? They looked gooord. If they fit the frunt reckon they'd fit the second row too wunt they?

Try a search on here, was only a few days ago.

That looks good thanks, but I was keen to keep my cubby box so was looking for a separate pair of seats.

Any thoughts on somehting to fit the rear?

Hi  ,

This is my maiden run on this site and I'm a beginner with the Landy too so be kind. I've just bought a 90 that's got what I'm told are Rover seats in the front. I'm a short arse and these make reaching the pedals a bit difficult as they are higher plus the fact that the way they were fitted makes it impossible to access the battery without major efforts. I'm looking to put Defender seats back in. I'd only driven a new Defender before and had no trouble with reaching the pedals. If your old seats are OK I'd be interested in the front pair assuming 110 seats fit a 90. Alternatively, can anyone tell me if new Defender seats will fit an old one? Mine is a 1990 Hreg 200 Tdi.

Hi,

Mine are not in great nick which is one of the reasons I am looking to replace them. One of the bases is completely squashed. Looks like it is from dragging across it when climbing in.

The battery issue is one I have been thinking of too, not worked out how I'll get round it.

But it is good to hear from someone else that some other seats fit. Do you know what Rover they are from?

Chris

Yep, twas I that posted about the rangey rears... as I said very very comfy, but poss a bit tight if your over 6ft or built like the proverbial Wok smuggler :)

big advantage is that I can still access my battery as they are 60/40 split....

Must get some finished pics uploaded as it looks far better....

Wendy see my post above, my other half Caz is only 5ft and with these seats she can easily reach the pedals and can actually see over the bonnet for the first time ever :)

Hiya Steve
What are you using to secure the seat back when they're upright?

I having my 110 2nd row replaced with RRC 2nd row seats and I'm not sure what the bracket look like.

Ade

Ive made my own brackets, a piece of flat bar 6" long on the original rangey lock pin on the seat and a bracket with a welded bolt fixed behind, the former fits over the latter and a roof rack knurled knob tightens in place... as clear as mud Im sure, will try to get some pics tommorow if it helps...

Hi Ade, as you are relatively local to me I'd love to see the install when you are done.
