Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows why my fuse 17 might be blowing all the time. It's for the ABS and TC, but I just replaced it there the last time, and it lasted about 10 miles.

Fuses are cheap, but I would like to know whats causing this problem before I go buy 1000 10A fuses, lol.

Any ideas welcomed.

Depends on year Keith. 99 on brake switch before that all manner of things. Hevac, Eas selector switch, brake switch. Etc Etc Etc. But never ABS as far as i can see. If it's 2000 MY it has to be brake switch.

Oh right. So a brake switch? Yeah, its a 2000 reg 4.6 THOR

When it blows my dashboard says ABS and TC fault, and both them lights light up on the dashboard. Hence why I thought it was that.

I got it serviced a couple weeks ago, and the guy mentioned that the rear caliper was a bit sticky, so is that likely to be it?

I need to get the brakes done right enough, but was really hoping to sell it on first maybe.

Don't think the rear calipers are electric:rolleyes: Check the brake switch and wiring for chaffing.

Ha ha. Didn't think they were electric either.

I had thought since it said ABS / TC, that the calliper being semi-gone would maybe knock out a sensor, blowing the fuse.

Will have a look at the brake switch though. Where is it?

I downloaded RAVE, but can't figure out how to work it properly yet. There just seems to be LOADS of randomly named pdf's.

Depends on the version you downloaded, some are an ISO file that needs to be mounted. Otherwise if you open the folder there should be a green oval which will open adobe reader 4 which you have to use and then RAVE itself. Brake switch is on the brake peddle box.

Download it from the link in my "How to" at top of page. Unzip and away you go. No silly PDF stuff.

Nope. My Google-Foo is failing me.

I went into the How To, but cannot find your link to RAVE.

EDIT: Idiot. Found it. Downloading now. Cheers.
