Have you never followed(often old Fords) a car and when it indicates you get side and brake lights flashing at the same time? It's because the electric will try to find a path to ground. Often it takes a long route through other circuits...

I see, so new seals wouldn't help, unless you stuck them to the flap to add mass :)

Shiny new sender, gave the tank a coat of some left over green chassis paint someone gave me a few yrs ago. Clashes a bit with the silver chassis .

The sender has come and is 8mm od. The plastic fuel pipe is 10mm od. Ideally I need a compression 90 deg elbow, 8mm one end and 10mm the other, easy to get in a straight fitting but appears impossible in an elbow, never mind....I'll get a 10mm to...

Welcome to Landy Zone. You'll do well here as you clearly have a sense of humour! Some people make a post, get the pi$$ ripped out of them for it and leave in a huff! If you fitted those doors for leg room, have you moved your seat to the left...

That's not a bad idea just sticking inexpensive useful stuff like that onto your orders so you have some stock of bits you'll need at some point. Also I've been a little quiet as I'm now trying to do a few little bits every day to work through...

No flaps? Yeah, my mate really missed them on his TD5 90

When i bought my S2 they had practically no seal left so i would get a cold draft even when shut. I fitted new seals and found it hard to close them. Fitting new seals might remove any loose play.

Today, I ordered 4-pin 6x6 tactile switches of different lengths. I want to check them out if I have time over the weekend. I hope it will be easy for me. Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you for your reply. I unlock it with the remote and lock it with the key. Because when I lock it with the remote, I think the superlock engages and the car's alarm system activates. Then, even the slightest vibration or sound triggers the...

I have plenty of the seals in stock, I used to buy them when close to free postage. Had to come home on an AA truck once when the seal let go completely. You can reuse the nuts and lock tab ( at a push) if you want to.

Is there a clutch pedal return spring? Could it be missing or worn? The brake pedal on my 101 was reluctant to return until i fitted a new spring.

Clean the oil off. That might be several years worth of gunk.

I have a TD5 90 with a gremlin I am struggling to get fixed where I live. had the oil in the red plug issue , changed the injector loom and cleaned the red plug. That has not solved the issue. It starts 1st time and runs but not as smooth as...

It's been a few years since i drove YFO but i can't say i ever remember sniffing exhaust fumes with the canvas on. I probably wouldn't have driven around with just the back flap open though. If it was hot weather i'd roll the sides up too so...

Not by me. As said there's a mod where you replace the link in the rear fuse box with a relay to make them ignition live.
