There are a number of 'common' leak points on an LT230 transfer box.
They are all relatively easy to fix with the intermediate shaft being the most time consuming and requiring the box to be off the car.
It really needs a good pressure...

The TD5 engine should be fine, you might take ancillary items such as an alternator and water pump. Oh and a spare ECU as they are now starting to fail without warning and you won't repair that at the side of the road.
Did mine two years ago, it was much worse than that. The whole bottom rail gone as well as some of vertical ones. Did fix it in the end but a lot more faff than doing a front door. Looking back a new door would have been better despite the cost...

In a 90 you can carry people, things,, the dog. But only one of them at a time. If you need to carry more than one thing at a time you need a 110.
I grasp that fact but I have said maybe 20 times that I do not care about acceleration because that will be only before entering the highway or exiting the highway hours later.

I've rebuilt the valve block and after some fiddling around with a split compressor pipe it air up extremely quick .
