When that happens to us, we close windows and doors to the room, give it a good spraying and just wait. The poison spreads all over the room and eventually kills it. It helps if you can put a fan on as that spreads it even faster. Sympathise as W...

Cheers mate, I do hope so, typically it does involve capacitors and possibly a relay. Me gonna get me some more compilactederere soldrin kit! But yep I wired the bog standar one we talked about just two wire and it now works! So ta again!

That does make more sense. Would I need to contact the original dealer?

    Lockset code is a 14 digit alpa-numeric. Mine is "A" followed by 12 numbers, and ending in "W" . . . . . .

Good that you're getting somewhere but I'm sorry to say that I don't think you're done. You will need to get the wipers off and find out what is missing under the scuttle, my guess is there's a grommet out and the drainage under the scuttle is...

Nice, but I wouldn't want to park it up in Larkhall or Shotts, Harthill or Strathaven ....

That's right. And you can always hire a trailer when you've got to shift stuff that needs to go in a trailer.

Rewind 6-7 years when defenders started to really catch my eye and I would've told you 90 all day. The long term view brings the 110 into strong contention, but I honestly seem to change like the wind between both which is why I'm just choosing...

That sounds much safer! My key looks quite original (tired) and has original dealer key ring(also tired). The key has a sticker with e0682 on it but guess that is a type label?

Colour looks great, and definitely add a more unique touch.

That’s what I wondered as I did the 4 extra bolts in the bottom for the 200 di, so are you saying even with the di it’s over stressing the series gearbox
  • pwood999
Yes they can if you get the Lockset Barcode data from LR for the BECM in the car. If it's the original BECM, then LR just need ID & V5C doc to prove ownership.

FEI replied to the thread P38A Dipstick o ring.
I have no idea what it looks like on the diesel but just take the dipstick tube with you to a hydrolic shop and ask them for a viton o-ring. If you just use a normal rubber oring it will swell with time and probably start leaking agin with a few...

Can be done but it is a right fiddle. There is a tool to do the job [see Youtube] but I have not ever seen one for real. A trick is to put rod into a bit of plastic pipe with the clip on. Pipe is just long enough so when clip is tight at its end...

Have you tried resetting the gearbox adaptor values? The joltiness when going from a neutral into a gear kinda sounds like adaptor values that have not been reset. But tightening the valve body bolts is defintely worth it. I have no idea what...

Exactly as above, a normal trailer does not have the novelty or fun factor, and again I have most of the parts to do it. i would need to source everything required for a normal trailer rather than just the hitch.

It mates up "ok" Most of the bolts line up especially at the top of the engine but for the bottom I had to drill holes in the bell housing to match the engine. But no need for a spacer.

Interesting does the 300 mate to the series gearbox directly, or is adapter needed, I’ve got 200 in mine and that’s pretty much a straight fit
