They don't come with the wrong diff ratio, they are just not designed specifically for my particular use case and only a beta would not understand that fact. They are built to satisfy a wide range of customer use cases at a basic level, rather...

Yer avoid them apparently they came with the wrong diff rato.... Buy a hilux as Toyota have recalled thousands of them for a Free galvanised chassis under warranty with no charge for brakes/suspension/bushes or any other parts required to have...

Look on YouTube for the Harry's Garage video called "L322 Range Rover TDV8 long-term update. Is this peak Range Rover?" It is the reason that I bought an L322 instead of a P38, or a Classic, which is the model that I first drove 35 years ago and...

Blob was really helpful, and the fact that no one had any good reasons why it should not be done helped me, so everyone here helped. (Several others helped me on another forum.) Plus you have all helped me laugh a lot and you should all be...

Surely still under warranty then? Have got on well with the orange Cellular Dynamic Britpart shocks. We have them on 3 different vehicles.

They were supposed to be a reputable land rover specialist , I took my discovery 3 there a few times. They said the P38 is a specialty of it's own and neither of them had any experience of them. Threw a big spanner in the works as I would like...

kennyb87 replied to the thread TD5 Fuel guage problems.
I've been going by mileage too but it's some I'd rather have sorted. I actually ran out of diesel once because the drain screw on the fuel filter came loose and with the fuel gauge not being trustworthy and only having 250 miles since refuelling...

Check continuity on the horn connections coming from the switch. If you get an open circuit when you press it then the switch is buggered

Earth issues. I had this with my fuel and temp guages where they would fluctuate by themselves with the fuel guage occasionally dropping to zero despite plenty fuel in the tank. It was especially apparent with the side lights on. Not only did I...

I’m no mechanic but I’m happy that it’s in the TDC hole. I thought it was supposed to be 4.61mm (.18”) clearance with more than 20,000km on the chains? It certainly shouldn’t be 10mm anyway. I’ll check it all again before digging into it at the...

Anything that was working up to the point of the break down is probably still ok, except for one thing. So don't go trying to change stuff until you know it is fubar. Putting petrol down the throat of the carb may have been too much for it...

There's enough guides and YouTube videos I should be fine, and t I be honest this forum has helped me more than anything. Better than my local landy specialist who refused to work on my car , due to " no experience with p38s"

I've got one left that I got off kermie then I'm out. I changed a pot a while back but I can't remember if it was this blend motor or the distribution one above it. I'll have to search my posts to see which it was I was whinging about. Wanna flog...

The little legs to the potentiomèter (French keyboard predictive text) get loose from their soldered joints and cause bad feedback relating to their position and can be soldered. It may well be just the case. 👍
  • Flossie
I was thinking maybe a stiff flap was causing a motor stall and not a blend motor issue at all. But the motor wouldn't run when off the box so that's that. Found a 9v battery for testing tomorrow, unless it's peeing down which is expected...

One step at a time my mate. Also when you do the diaphragm there also the none return valves. They sit in the block a certain way, these are something else that can leak but definitely check the diaphragm first as they crack and leak air from...
