Anything that was working up to the point of the break down is probably still ok, except for one thing. So don't go trying to change stuff until you know it is fubar. Putting petrol down the throat of the carb may have been too much for it...

There's enough guides and YouTube videos I should be fine, and t I be honest this forum has helped me more than anything. Better than my local landy specialist who refused to work on my car , due to " no experience with p38s"

I've got one left that I got off kermie then I'm out. I changed a pot a while back but I can't remember if it was this blend motor or the distribution one above it. I'll have to search my posts to see which it was I was whinging about. Wanna flog...

I was thinking maybe a stiff flap was causing a motor stall and not a blend motor issue at all. But the motor wouldn't run when off the box so that's that. Found a 9v battery for testing tomorrow, unless it's peeing down which is expected...

One step at a time my mate. Also when you do the diaphragm there also the none return valves. They sit in the block a certain way, these are something else that can leak but definitely check the diaphragm first as they crack and leak air from...

Planning for a 50 acer reservoir is a bit different to permitted development and putting a plastic green house on the back ov yer castle. A new reservoir pushes wildlife out the way and destroys the abby tat permanently. Tis not naturally there.

It was @brianp38dse I think. The injector head at the back of the pump can be done on engine and only undo the injector head piece until you can just see the oring. Any further and you run the risk of parts inside dropping out of position...

The big leaks are economical to fix. They won't get smaller unless they run out of water.

Sorry Stan this makes no sense to me at all. With a CW or RH thread, if the thing it holds in p!ace is turning in the 'tighter' direction how can the opposite work? Hence LH threads on NS axles.. Or not, as your numpty mate found out.. Edit...
