I'm not going to scrap it immediately. Maybe in a few years time when I leave England. On my one month trip to Portugal and back I needed to not break down and therefore I would prefer to run it at a lower RPM.
Friday the defender failed the mot due to the break fluid having to much moisture in it over here thay insert a probe in the reservoir for a reading, I should've known better ! But all sorted now so back tomorrow, also cleaned all the sensors...
Trailer is a self build but most are based on old army sankey trailers. Does get a bit expensive to build but once done he enjoys freedom of weekend away and pitching where ever he wants. All self contained
As for the Hilux it’s only the back...
Hi Aussie disco2 owner here and I have the same issue as Fireblade7, but I know what to do, but being a bit dyslexia, I need photo's of this mod as I cannot follow the schematic properly!
I know this is an old thread.

Hi Guys
Has anyone else had a strange booming intake noice after fitting a new intercooler ?
It sounds like a 2.25 diesel when changing down through gears
Any idea why?
Sooo got some speculation about what I’ve got on my 90’… it’s Land Rover 90 with the whole drive line from a disco 1… the axle code is not visible.
I’ve got at leaking swivel, and I tried to replace the oil seal with no luck
I saw that the...
As i remember, it wasnt getting the bearing in that was the issue, but the circlip that holds it in place.
It was years ago, but, im pretty sure, i just pushed the bearing in with a vice and a drift (probably a socket of some size).
But i had...
Just read that, So it is better to keep the pipe to 2.5, so If I bought one of the steve parker down pipes then fit something the same diameter to make a full exhaust up, Or even try and fabricate my own downpipe, .
No way I am paying a grand...
Tricky. Almost impossible to stop the grit getting in. I used duct tape extensively when I did the complete back axle on my 101, sort of worked, but it was a Salisbury, so well sealed. I used wooden blanks to seal the front axle on my...
My gearbox did not have a hard time, it had about three days of missing gear changes on a 10 minute drive, and then I stopped driving it, found the leak, fixed it and filled it up again.
I am interested but I don’t have £330 at the moment, so if you still got it after 25th then I’ll probably have it, no worries if not pal. Try ebay, you may get a bit more tbh.
I was not offended by it. But have a look at the second comment. Then the third comment, the fourth comment, the fifth comment, the six comment etc.
But if you want to call it banter then everything that I have said back to you guys is just...
I'm not driving it there to scrap it on this trip, instead I need it to make it all the way there and back without any problems. I have stated repeatedly that this will be a return trip.
It may be another few years before I leave England and at...
worth asking Enners about. Loves his gearbox maintenance. There’s a thread somewhere we all used to post pics of the oil that came out to compare.
