Thats the king doo ribs in that foil tub, I chuck the bones back in & bin it as one of our dogs was a bin raker so no chances taken. It would be better if they had see through lids as id keep em for nuts bolts n screws.

With all things considered I am tempted to see what my local specialist would charge to do the cam for me, while this will be expensive it's cheaper than a new engine or car. Being new to working on engines this isn't something I want to get...

Hello, I have a D90 ex-carabinieri, I have an intermittent problem that only occurs when I take a highway and after about 20 to 25 minutes, it starts to emit smoke that is between white and blue. I stop and wait about 3 minutes and it stops...

Ok so we talking about a 2006 TD4 M47 FL1 yes, if so then try unplugging the MAF sensor to see if it makes any difference to your power going up hill, as nodge (John) says they are not complicated cars. Also flywheel on the M47 seems to be...

I’ve got one too (a metal locking cubby box, not stained curry tubs!) to fit to my 90. You can but internal trays for cubby boxes from the likes of Mud Stuff, but at a price.

Yes, I realise that but those 3 know the procedure all the way from capturing the code to sending a code to start the car. iirc the Thor and diesel are similar in that there's a single code held in the BECM and the chip in the EMS. GEMS is...

That’s the issue I have found. No replacements or aftermarket seem available for the second row split doors. Only the originals which are either wrecked, in use, or cost more than a whole Land Rover!

I use a set of four 3 ton stands like these, although for most jobs two of the car wheels are on the ground with blocks holding them from moving. Quite stable with either the FL1 or my P38 on them. Wouldn't touch or trust those ratchet...

Depends on the Cam profile, but yes does need checking & doing. It's whether the heel of the cam is same or lower than the standard that matters. All the guides I have seen requires the tappets to be empty of oil & the gap about 40 thou with...

New rear propshaft fitted. All the needle bearings in the uj had disintegrated and fell out, some interesting noises driving along there. Need to find a replacement spider assembly now to keep it as a spare shaft.

Sounds daft but try some fuel cleaner (Redex) if the pump is in the tank +gauge it may be sticky or possibly as easy as a sticky lip valve, what ever it is ,a £5 quid additive wont do any harm, and if it works ,your quids in.

Personally, I wouldn't spend time under a car held up by axle stands. Especially if I'm yanking on rusted up nuts and bolts and possibly rocking the car. Sod that for fun.
