Bonjour de France ! I leaned under the car this morning and I'm asking myself this question. Is it normal for there to be play in the transmission? Because in fact, I have the impression that the knocking is coming from the front axle...

The rubber strip on the lower windscreen plastic is just a finishing strip. One problem is the drains at either end of the body work under the windscreen and beneath the plastic tray. These can get blocked with leaves and debris. The water level...

Hi, Whilst sorting through some minor issues with my 2003 L322 if had her parked up for a couple of weeks. I got a shock when, after some really heavy rain, I found the mat and carpet in the drivers footwell completely soaked -not damp...

Dodgy Alternator? My P38 threw up solid ABS/TC fault lamps each time the Alternator went bad. Eventually the bad alternator caused the rev counter and speedo to switch on & off, was most disconcerting 0mph 0RPM, real values, 0mph 0rpm. New...

Okay, nevermind. I actually did find someone who does full RRC harnesses for LHD models, Autospark in the UK. I'll give them a call tomorrow! Those cars ARE money pits so...

That's a similar job to do when replacing the rear shocks if I remember correctly 🤔.. There is a couple of videos on YouTube that may clear that up for you. 🤔 That's a good point about any airbag warnings😵

As the title states, how do I check that my 4 wd system is working correctly ? the reason I ask is when I pull out out of junctions with some haste, I can get a little front wheels spin ! The car is a 2013 SD4 HSE Auto that's only done 60,000...

Morning All. :D Today's mission is to roll up a smelly old mattress at the old gals house and chuck it out. I am advised that rubber gauntlets may be required as it's a bit crusty and fragrant. I shall be armed with some ratchet straps and some...

Where exactly on the 300 TDi engine, do we fit a sunroof? Almost finished building mine and may consider this a worthwhile addition. :vb-headscratch:

So you’ve done tyres and a wheel bearing already, and not solved it? I’d be jacking the front end up and getting under it with a torch for a good look-over before changing anything else. Get an assistant to slowly turn the wheels by hand and see...
