That looks almost identical to mine, which I bought nearly twenty years ago. However, mine has metal tubes on the legs It hangs up in the garage roof when I'm not using it. Then these clamps go up through those tubes and clamp it to the gutter...

Hello everyone, I recently bought a freelander, which is nice on many aspects, but present symptoms of a bad VCU.

1st job is do a one wheel up test (plenty of info on here). If the VCU is duff you can take the prop off and then it doesn't matter what tyres you have on the car and you can drive it with them as much as you want. If the VCU is good, you can...

Problem solved.... Went for the easy solutions first. Disassembeled the regulators and found that one of the "locking pins" was damaged. Some sanding and lubricating, and things seem to be alright...:) The air goes where i want it to go....

Hello everyone, I recently bought a freelander from 2005, and I have a VCU problem. No noises whatsoever, except a little squeaking from rear wheels when I turn fully left (easier to hear for the drivers.. left sided steering wheel). Reverse...

Yes, an incorrect signal rather than absence of signal might mess it up.

On my P38A I cut the cooler pipes and used compression fittings and a new bit of oil hose. Others used a flaring tool on the stub of pipe remaining. Sump can probably be plugged with Quiksteel. You'd be amazed what it seals!

Bit odd. No issues with my car or my scrapper but Slooby's was messing with my head yesterday. I wish I could pun down what is different about it. Cannot be the FIP itself as I swapped them over. I'll see if it runs after I have finished...

Do you have tow bar electrics ? My RHR indicator failed to work off the switch, despite having ground and feed. Going through the wiring I found an unused towbar loom. Once disconnected - Voila'. Don't ask me why.

Regarding the bonnet, it appears to be locking properly. I haven’t seen the bonnet warning message for several weeks now, @Shedload. One question: is it safe to insert a paperclip into the bonnet sensor switch and lock the car with the bonnet...
