BTW my repairs worked out slightly cheaper than a delete kit EXCEPT I bought a brand new rear ARB because it was cheap, rude not to.

Incidentally, that was wierd. Just as I though has someone replied my phone notified me of your response.

The pumps leaking so it's a removal for new seals. As long as its locked off and I don't turn the pump shaft/woodruff key, does it matter what position it's in? As long as nothings changed while it's out it shouldn't affect the timing when I put...

Suppose it depends on what you are doing / been done and how far stripped down it is. Is it just the pump removal ; chains haven’t been off, or head or anything? Can be easy to get 15 or 180 degrees out

How good is the battery? Had similar issue where car would start but not rev due to low volts on the ECU at start up.

OK, the old gal has rallied a bit, still very much "on the edge" but we will see what happens overnight. Wife is expecting a similar scenario tomorrow. :(

Evening all, Just a quick post to say I'm just back from a road test in the 109 since installing my 200 tdi conversion, and wow, what a difference it makes. I know that seems a bit obvious, but it's just so much more usable in every way. I...

Does anybody know how to take the entire dashboard off? I’ve not had much looking finding the info and need it off. I’ve got the instrument cluster off and the plug at the top was melted a small amount but the wiring is fine. All the side buttons...

Wammers did some detailed responses on this. I can't remember who he was helping. There is indeed another hole just before the TDC one. You don't want to be 180° out either.

Have you got any landrover shops near you that you can walk into & check part numbers ? Had a Quick Look & nothing found. (Only the rally car kits) What part of the country are you?
  • D
Oo, that would work. Nice idea. Could actually use any RHD cable to then operate the original LHD with all its associated fittings and adjusters. Thanks for replying. D.

In case it helps anyone, I wanted to get the pulley off without undoing the giant bolt. I had some M10 tube nuts about 30mm long, and some M10 bolts about the same. I screwed the bolts into the tube nuts and put them behind the pulley against...

Wife is there with the MIL, as are 2 grandchildren. Her Son (who was told first) had not yet put in an appearance. :( He is closer to the hospital than we are , so I am baffled.

In the past where the vehicle has bogged down with a BDL needle has been in low RPM going up to mid-range RPM so maybe a bit off the part-throttle area.

Apologies if this is well discussed. I looked but couldn't find a thread. I've got the front cam lobe pointing to the injector side with the edge parallel to the guide visible in the oil filler hole & the locating flywheelpin is in & located...
