So not even an MG Metro engine!! No wonder the power is lower than mine was. Raffling lot should watch it as regards Trades Description Act. :(

What he is doing would be illegal over here. On a Sunday you can only mow your lawn in the morning. Can't use powertoools at all. We have to watch it as we often want to use my big machine etc over what the frogs think is lunchtime i.e. 12 till...

Morning all, I want to put a board or set of boards between the wheel arches in my 90. I know its been discussed a number of times, its pretty straightforward job. Most of what I have seen has been the boards covering the entire width and just...

Rather than wriggling the connector, check the contacts. Could also be the airbag open circuit. You could wire in a suitable resistor instead ?

Yep, no HT going to the dizzy cap or HT leads going from it to the plugs… …and lordy, thats a lot of belts! Just have the one serpentine one on mine.
  • P38Seb
Oh look, another problem with the P38 - it’s fine, this is all doing wonders for my mental health. I’ve got a somewhat permanent SRS light on the dash now, accompanied by AIRBAG FAULT on the LCD display. Wiggling the yellow cable under the...

As per @tottot - I use a bungy chord stretched between the two doors to hold the bonnet up or if there is two of us, I remove it completely. Send us a picture of the filter if you can... the original doesn't unscrew.

With regards to the noise, have the water pump replaced with the cambelt. If the noise is still there you can change the pas pump yourself at a later date if you are happy doing it.

My son made a decision to pay a specialist to do his cambelt, worst decision ever! It has been an endless drama since putting right their f××× ups since. The potential to go wrong is there regardless of you doing it or not, ether way it costs...

Change of tack this morning. Instead of ignoring this thread I've decided to ignore some suspension knocks, saggy headlining and a floppy drivers side mirror

An easy way to gain access is to release bonnet stay and lean bonnet back against screen, support with a long stick for safety. As I remember the 19j filter is the old type that does not unscrew. A bolt on the top/middle part of housing goes...

Correct. Up to the '86 MY the fresh air flap was controlled by a simple linkage, but then LR 'improved' it by means of a vacuum operated solenoid. When mine failed & a replacement was no longer available I simply closed off the vacuum pipe & left...

Hello all. This is my first Land Rover so please assume total ignorance. I parked up briefly and when I got back in the parking brake wouldn't come off. At the same time I noticed the fuel read zero, even though the tank was full. I think they...

No viscous coupling or traction control on the Disco? I guess limited slip diffs front and rear would help. Not sure how you'd manage the centre diff.
