Love it this is something i am also looking to do.
Did you add the rear bulkhead to the back tub to make the pickup roof fit ? My station wagon doesn't have one between the second row and the rear tub.
Hahah not worth it!!
Hi and welcome!! Check the Freelander forum for thoughts on the remap. You would need to upgrade alot of components if I remember correctly.
I looked at adding a map to my 07 td4 and would have to replace the gearbox.
I know not what you are looking for but you can get very good results with a gloss roller and some coach enamel unless you have a fussy metallic paintjob. and the whole job would cost you about £30!
Are you sure? I have done other panels with YRM replacements where you drill out the spotwelds with a 5mm bit, and then split the panel with a sharp chisel (I use an old wood chisel as thinner and sharper than a metal working chisel and ali is...
I used the autel dongle to do mine too. Was a piece of cake and less than 100 for the code reader and new fob, the code reader I've used to diagnose the issue on my latest abs issue too.
It has long been my opinion that if you are not willing to do the work yourself you shouldn't really own a defender. You would need such deep pockets to keep one on the road if you paid a garage for every little job and niggle that you would...
Hi all,
On my 2005 90 the light letting me know that the hand brake is on won't go out. I suspect it's a bad earth. Dumb question, but the one wire that leads from the hand brake switch out the back of the bulkhead...where does it go to? I want...
I had the discs and they worked fine. Bigger than standard and fitted well. Think biggest thing that made a difference was decent pads, but compared to what came off anything would have been an improvement
Mid section stainless will be easy enough to find wether it’s a box or delete. Rear section stainless with no box would be harder to source. As you can see from the above pic my boxless rear section was diy cut off an old exhaust. You can tell by...
I did that to my subscapularis tendon, pulled it clean off the humerus in an accident.
Surgical repair was the worst pain ever, but I needed it fixed as I could not tuck my shirt in.
I'm pretty sure that the p38 steering rods are not interchangeable with the Disco2.

A cable for the throttle...similar.
A slider for heater controls, proper steel bumpers, points and condensor, I could carry nearly everything to fix my car on the road in a tupperware box!
Sound like a dinosaur now!
I thought the same but I'm seriously out of touch with modern vehicles.
Electrical operated/assist clutch pedal maybe.
Don't tell me they haven't got recovery @kermit_rr ?
Putting this in the general part of the forum might bring up suggestions...
So in summary;
Rear driveshaft assembly with part number TOB000070.
This replaces part number TOB000000. This assembly includes the CV joints.
Suitable for:
Freelander 1 from vin 1A316655 to vin 2A385539
AND
Drive shaft assembly for the rear...
The engine you have is the Ford Duratorq which is also fitted to the 2012– 2016 Ford Transit Custom and 2015–2021 Ford Everest 2.2
You could try in thise groups (i'm presuming they exist).
That's interesting, I was under the assumption the P38 and disco 2 shared exact steering bars.
But that's extremely helpful thanks.
What would be the general cost ?
Climbing over the boat hoist, left leg over first onto a loose rock caused me to stumble right leg was still bent up on the
beam almost behind me foot caught on the pipe fittings, my body twisted foot stayed jammed then I heard a pop &
then got...
