You have a brake live at the rear lights? Put a temporary earth from the bulb holder to earth and see if it works. Is there an earth point behind the rear lamp inner covers? High level brake light earths through the heated rear screen earth I do...

So this is what I have been playing with a bit this arvo. The result of an "accrochage" as we were leaving to come home last September. Flipping annoying as the trailer onl;y gets used about 4 days a year. We had driven to the village and had...

Mine with 99,000 miles on the clock does 44mpg on motorways at 60mph and 38 urban. Very comfy to drive with usual toys. One thing which improved the economy was, several weeks ago i filled up with go faster diesel and stuck four bottles of redex...

Any bright ideas of where to go next? Brake lights were working when I last looked , maybe a month ago. Not any more. Was checking the trailer board and no brake lights. Checked that a known good vehicle. All good. So back to the 110. Bulbs...

"Catch can and disposal drum" What??? I fink you doesn't do much on cars nowadays. Big washing up bowl = catch can. Previous oil container now empty = disposal drum. Or am I missing something??!!:):) But good on you, I too only go to...

For years I too only ever had one watch. I had to use it at work anyway. Buying others slowly came on as abit of a hobby, started by repairing them and W kept giving them to me. Especially a really nice one for a present for our wedding day. Once...

Masks do nothing, they just show everyone you are compliant. In fact they are dangerous to lungs. But that's another story. I'm OK with it being removed on my 300 tdi too. My point is laws are to be tested.

. Exhaust emission control equipment You only need to check components that are visible and identifiable, such as catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, and exhaust gas recirculation valves. You should reject all vehicles first used on or after 1...

Good for you. To be honest I didn't mind wearing a mask, didn't have a cold or anything. Had a quick look and you might be ok with removing on a TDI as far as the mot is concerned being pre 2002.
  • Freddie17
And then I gave it a quick wash. Nothing special, but no more field on it 😉

Low 30’s day to day. High 30’s on a run. Probably ball-park 10 to the gallon more than your disco. Very capable off road. I use mine a lot in fields shooting. A very comfy on road 😉

It was the "only what's on the shelf guv" that put me off. I want to do the oil-change tomorrow, not mid-week after they hunt up a can of the good stuff. :)

If we were all scared of governments and complied with all their bs (like masks etc) we would be living in a prison. Mind you we're nearly there now! Tbh they can do what ever they like - I am not complying.

Actually I do believe they are meant to check them and fail if missing or tampered with, same with the cat and dpf if fitted. I imagine you will only get in trouble if stopped by vosa or in a fatal accident and the vehicle is inspected. MOT and...

So who's going to prosecute me? No one's even interested. All mechanics are aware that EGRs are fitted to some Defenders and other vehicles. Checking its existence is not a part of the MOT anyway, just an emisions test. If it passes then it is...
