I took my 1.2:1 Disco box out and fitted a 1.4:1 with the V8 5th gear. The D2 box was awful, made my 300tdi as flat as a pancake in the get up and go department. My mpg was lower too as I was always pressing down with the right foot, any hill...

You should be able to refit that part without removing panel. Connect green connector, locate the plastic clips and carefully push into place. The bottom clip in photo looks damaged.

If it is anywhere near "Allotments" it is probably rapid composting drums. You put the vegetable matter in the top lid and do it back up again. You rotate/tumble them to mix it all up, it rots down faster and the composting cycle is shortened.

That's really clear, thank you! Are any parts of the door cills steel? I noticed there was some rust up behind a galvanised / stainless (possibly after market) checker plate below the door. Since posting this, I've been put off this...

This £25 charge appeared on the invoice for a service from my local friendly LR specialist. When I asked I was told "It's to reset the service reminder". £25?? Pretty sure I could do it myself in 30 seconds with my Hawkeye!
