I know there has been lots of questions about this but I carnt find the answer to my fault.
Well my hazards aint been working since I got my 90 in December but indicators where ok. So now its MOT time and its a last thing repair or so I thought.
The indicators worked off the column until I switched on the hazards switch and then they wouldnt.
So today my new switch and flasher relay arrived and my hazards still dont work.
But to put a spanner in the works I now have to have my hazzard switch in the on position before the indicators work off the steering column and
when I turn off the hazard switch the relay starts to buzz.
I have power to the switch and a feed to the indicator if I bridge the wire. I also have power to swich when ignition on.
It has trailer electrics and all the lights work ok on the light board apart fom hazards.

Any Ideas anyone or is this a job for a sparkie

Will give it a try. But surely the indicators would have a earthing fault as well as the hadards. Seems strange that the indicators now work off the column with the hazard switch in the on position where before I changed the hazard switch it needed to be in the off position. ( if that makes any sence):confused2:

you might have fitted the switch the other way round to the previous one theres no right or wrong way. have a look at a wiring diagram if you can make head or tail of it. i dont think your directional indicators should go through the hazard switch at all they should be completely independant.

Sounds similar to the problem we had: the trailor electrics were not earthed correctly. It took a week to find a couple of crap connections to isolate the fault.

Would try disconnecting the towing electrics and see if that makes any difference. Also check the wiring on the stalk.

Well after a couple of hours searching I found the fault to be the permanent supply to the switch from the fuse board. When I checked at the switch with a meter the power was there but under a load it wasnt.
After replacing the wire the hazards are working fine. :)
