Hi guys my RR 2002 4.4 V8 does not like slow moving traffic i.e. the gearbox gets all confused and stays in low gear and I need to to take it up to 4500rpm before it changes gear but will not go past 4th I think
any idea

When was it last serviced ? oils etc ?

Sounds like the transmission fluid is overheating.

A new radiator cured our similar problem, apparently the bottom elements get furred up.....
