Merry Christmas to you all.

My girlfriend bought me a 30" lightbar for Xmas. The quoted wattage is 180w.

Do I need a relay for this? Do I work out the size of the relay by doing 180÷12? I was thinking of using a 30amp relay and the wiring to match, will this be good enough and provide the light bar with enough power? (I have searched)

Here's a link to the item if it helps:

Cheers guys. Have a good one

Yes use a relay. Your bar will use 15amps so use a relay and wiring rated around 20amp.

If your going to use a feed from main beam to switch the relay imo it's a good idea to run it through a switch so you have the option of turning them off.

Perfect! Thanks blue beasty.

I've got a 30amp relay and wiring so that should be spot on. Thanks a lot
