Has anyone experience of the X431 iDiag code reader?

You buy a bluetooth plug and stick that into the OBD port and you can read codes on your smart phone or tablet. You have to first buy and down load the software for your vehicle.

I've been reading up on the Hawkeye and the i920? Most generally say both are good.

The Hawkeye unit will reprogram fobs to the ECU - is that correct?

Yes. I have done 1.

If you use blue tooth or wifi etc as a comms link you need to unplug this from the odbii socket when finished or you leave the vehicle open to "others" to get into yer computer to open the doors etc.

Hawkeye uses a cable and electricity for connection. Search for "Hawkeye diagnostic" on you tube for examples of what it can do. I've put loads of hawkeye stuff on there.
