they look to be "fit and forget" parts. Ive been informed that the units produced by scrap iron are made of toffee. how true i dont know, but speak to Simon at X eng and get the original from him.

I 2nd what griff ses Scrapiron are well known for nicking everyone elses ideas and designs and then making a **** job of copying them using crap inferior parts and charging the fooking earth for them. Companies like these should be avoided like the plague!!

I avn't had any trouble with the standard set up since I replaced the rubber seal thing, greased the bits wot needed greasing, an cleaned the ****e out of the bits that needed the ****e cleaning out of em.

are they good? - yes.
are they worth £200 - no.

Si is quite active on that lr4x4 forum and offers a discount to members if you buy items off his site via the special link

tis a lorra money to replace something that works very well if it's adjusted correctly

Ive got an X-Eng. Its the fookin bollox!!

I had no end of trouble with my drum brake. Yeah they work when they aint full of ****. But I cant be fooked to strip it down and service the fooker everytime I go mud pluggin!

With the x-eng you just jet it off and its good as new! Even when it is covered in **** it still works far better than my drum brake ever did!

As for £200... Im pretty sure I only paid around £150 for mine!!

as stated they aint quite 200 nicker.

my time is worth that money so id rather not be stripping down the piece of ****e original set-up. as soon as mine starts playing up its gone.
