Been offered a 2003 Defender 110 for my Discovery 2 td5 2003...

My disco has 115.000km on the clock. Upgraded to 16" wheels + 265/75/16 AT. No egr + No cat from factory. Very well maintained. 2" lift with Bearmach Blue Coils:

I'm very satisfied with with BUT.... You know Defenders... They are legendary.. There's something about them that makes me want one. But MAYBE this something won't justify having it in exchange of my disco...

The 110 in question has 230.000km on the clock:

Another important point I want to add. I'm planning an around the world trip with this vehicle (if I keep the Disco or go with the 110). Defenders are the choice for that, but Discos are much more comfy...

Help me :)

thanks

Given that the fender is probably worth twice what the disco is, not much of a contest. I'd go round the world in a disco with a boot full of spares, but depends on motor options too.

Anyone in their right mind would take the fender and run.

But that does pose the question, why does the Fender owner want to "loose out" on a swap?
The mileage isnt that high to justify a straight swap.
Fellipe, give the Defender a very thorough going over first!

PS Love that painting!

Hey guys, forgot to add, he wants some money in the deal. Nothing exceptional though, still worth financially.

Question was more like Disco vs Defender :)

Yep, would agree with the above, (vinlander), fender all the way. A round the world trip has to be uncomfortable, or its not a real adventure. Sell it when you get back, and buy a proper Land Rover, a Disco 1, with lots of beer tokens/modding money left. :D

Round the world is a long way, it'll be uncomfortable either way, and sometimes better the devil you know.

No contest. Keep the Disco. Comfortable, will go anywhere a Defender will (especially a 110) and just as easy to fix.

I do like the colour of that Fender! Same as my Sisters.
Whatever you take it will be an epic trip!
But get decent locks/imobiliser fitted. Any LR will be vulnerable to theft!
My old Service Engineers Defender was broken into on an almost monthly basis, still that was in North London!
