I thought I would share this. I bought a 2000 P38 in March and have completed the following.

Misfire under load. Diagnostics showed problem to be plug leads and coil pack

Reluctant to rev, no MAF fault shown on diagnostics however a new MAF solved this.

Discs pads and calipers shot so I replaced the lot, the caliper carrier bolts were very tight, breaker bat and 12 point sockets got them off, as indicated on this forum, tightening slightly before undoing seemed to help.

New accumaltor fitted as pump was running after every application of the brakes, I was concerned about bleeding the brakes, however apart from one of the master bleed screws being buried by insulation and following the process exactly it went ok, now the pump runs after every 4/5 application of the brakes.

The car has been converted to coils and I would have walked away except for the fact that's it's in good nick showing 90k miles backed up by MOT records and had a new engine at 50k replaced under a previous owners extended warranty.. However the ride was enough to make a Barents Sea fisherman sick, so I replaced all four shocks with Koni Heavy Tracks, upper rear bolts need a breaker bar and care as there are wires etc close by, front shocks went ok, it help to move the brake pump off its mounting slightly to get the top bolt in.

With the new shocks the ride is much better but I am thinking about going back
to air.

I hope this helps others, this car is a hobby/project for me and so far I'm enjoying it.
