Maybe some e has posted this before but when I asked I got referred to another forum
Intermitant wiper parking problem - Freelander Forum - LR4x4 - The Land Rover Forum
Here's what I did..
Take off wipers 13mm socket
Remove retaining clips with a screw takes a bit of pulling with fingers pliers would be better..

There are then several clips under the bonnet rubber easily prised up
You can then see the motor and the resin covered Contacts
[/IMG]
Once cleaned you can see the real state of the resin

So I got me some sealant from the back of the van and..

Now you could go to the effort of Dremmeling it out and silicon in up but for me this is fine.
What would be handy is the cover that's over the air intake on the passenger side presumably up need it from a LHD version?
The vents are just what looks like scotch pads on the bottom one had bean ested/jet washed away) so simply sticking a black piece of plastic to the drivers side one would probably help as well I didn't as I don't have anything to hand.
The link to the other forum gives you a description and pick on how to fix the internals of the motor I would have copied and pasted it all but it wouldn't let me do the pics tut..
Also be careful of the rubber boots under the wiper arms I've lost one so it's easy to do
Hope this helps some...
And me lol as it's not a wet day here so can't test it yet :clap2:
