can anyone help.i put the wipers on this morning and only the drivers side 1 works

Wiper linkage is shot, take wipers off, followed by windscreen valance, inspect your motor linkage.

Once you have removed the wipers and the plastic valance (I believe LR call it an eschutcheon, which is normally used to describe "bits that cover gaps"), there's a plastic (nylon ?) ball joint (like your hip joint) that wears and falls loose.
You can just stick it back in, but it will soon fail again. You can do a quick fix with a couple of cable ties to hold the ball joint in place. This can be quite a long term solution!
If you want a true fix, you can by a new windscreen wiper linkage assembly, but it is about £60.
