New cable and new cogs/spindles. Now the wipers hit the rubber window seal on both the vertical and horizontal! But only sometimes. If the wipers are slow and I'm stationary they work perfect. As soon as I drive and have some wind hitting the windscreen they go crazy. Likewise on the higher speeds.

I have seen loads of threads and would think it's the stop switch, but they do return to normal position sometimes. And work properly sometimes. So would it still be the switch?

Does the stop switch work for both stops? I.e. Horizontal and vertical?

Thanks

Dunno..but are your splined adaptors tight on the D spindles?
And wiper arms tight on the splined adaptors?
Lots of what you described were slop in those areas on mine.

Spindles are tight, first thing I checked.
The spindles move in and out from the bulkhead, so considered that as an issue. I tapped in the tab on the bracket at the back of the cog. Stopped the slack but also restricted the movement of the wipers too much ‍♂️ Need to go and release them a bit!

But even with that, they still go mental!
As it’s quite sporadic, I agree it sounds like slop in the system...just can’t find where

When you have the answer I will do the same.

Done all the above I find if my screen is wet it is worse. 1 wiper never goes back to the correct park position.
Only thing I have not done is use genuine wheel boxes (but this should not affect parking/sweep as it's cable driven)

On the end of the drive cable is it slotted the same size as the original?
